Galia Binder

Social Impact Analyst

Galia's work focuses on project management, technical assistance and training, and stakeholder and operations coordination efforts on community violence and justice system project streams. Prior to joining Social Contract, they worked as a consultant for the Deep South Solidarity Fund, and Project Manager for Grist Magazine. Galia’s background lies at the intersection of trauma-informed, place-based arts, community justice and healing work. 

Galia holds a Master’s in Fine Arts Degree in Media Studies from the University at Buffalo, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Cultural Anthropology from Tulane University in New Orleans.  Galia lives with their beloved spouse and a pond full of koi fish, on Eastern Band of Cherokee land. In their spare time, Galia is learning how to be a better ancestor by practicing regenerative farming and ecosystem repair, training as a death doula, and honoring animist cultures and their community wellness practices.
