Prior to this role, Tina worked for over a decade in and with government agencies, civil society organizations and foundations across the Americas, focused on building capacity and systems for learning, evaluation and knowledge management for programming related primarily to intersectional social justice issues including sexual and reproductive health and rights, migrant rights and climate justice. 


Tina is active on several nonprofit boards in Mexico, including the Boys and Girls Club of Mexico City and the State of Mexico and Las Hormigas, a community-based organization in Juarez, at the US border, that is dedicated to building safe communities in one of the most violent cities in the world. She graduated from Columbia University where she majored in Political Science and received her Master's in Social Work from Columbia, as well. She lives in Mexico City with her family.
