Cara Gannon Wehmeyer
Senior Associate
Cara Gannon is a Senior Associate at Social Contract. Prior to this opportunity, Cara worked in the public sector in federal, state, city, and nonprofit roles. During graduate school, she worked as a public administration fellow for the Institute for Public Administration, working as a legislative fellow for the State of Delaware General Assembly in two caucuses, and the Controller General’s office, followed by a rotation as a nonprofit staffer. After graduate school, she worked as a policy and government affairs consultant, then served as an appointee to the Mayor’s Office at the City of Wilmington as a policy research and best practices project lead for the Department of Real Estate and Housing. Cara also spent time working for the Office of U.S. Senator Coons.
Cara graduated from The University of Delaware with a master’s degree in public administration as well as a bachelor’s in political science. Cara lives in Wilmington, Delaware with her husband Jack, and beloved yorkie, Sully. You can find her enjoying long runs, taking family walks with Jack and Sully, or playing a game of tennis or pickleball. During the summer, Cara enjoys spending quality time with her friends and family down at the beach in Fenwick Island, DE.
