David Hanson

Senior Consultant

David manages and provides subject matter expertise on a portfolio of social and collective impact projects that include environmental justice, DEIA, capacity building and place-based initiatives. Prior to joining Social Contract, David worked as a Senior Evaluation Consultant at Equal Measure–a professional services consulting firm based in Philadelphia. In this role, he provided operational leadership, content expertise, and an equity lens across multiple evaluation, strategy and capacity building projects with clients.

He holds a PhD in Forest Resources and Conservation from the University of Florida as well as a Graduate Certificate in Environmental Education and Communication. He also has Masters degrees in Geography and Agribusiness. David lives in West Chester, PA with his partner, daughter and 13-year old black lab mix. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time in nature, checking out local gardening/ sustainability events, and playing pickleball and crossfit.
