Social Impact Analyst
Marlena facilitates community engagement efforts on external government sector project streams and internal professional development workshops. She aids in the development of internal toolkits and procedures on community engagement, evaluation, and facilitation as well as external client-facing materials. Prior to this role, Marlena was a policy intern for the Pennsylvania Apartment Association.
She currently sits on the executive board of A Sweet Creation Youth Org based in Providence, Rhode Island as well as the NAACP Philadelphia Youth Council. Marlena is a second-year student in Temple University’s Master of Public Policy Program. She holds a bachelor’s in conflict communication and social influence, with a minor in political science. Marlena is a New England girl that fell in love with the City of Philadelphia but her family immigrated from Cabo Verde, West Africa so she is a natural green thumb and ocean lover.
